Pledge for US Standard of Cancer Care
Dear Patient and Family:
We would like to assure you that when you attend our office, we strive to provide service as it would been rendered as standard of care in the US- this same care would have been likely rendered elsewhere in the United States.
We base ourselves in the NCCN guidelines and consult extensive medical databases in order to provide up to date care that would be rendered as standard elsewhere in the US.
We have noted that competing providers and institutions in town will give you mixed or dubious feedback about our clinic and services. Please note that the competing practices will have a vested interest that you change providers. It might be that some cancer institutions in town may have vested interest with the competing oncology clinics in Guam. Please let us know ASAP if you start hearing conflicting information about care you are getting with us. We do believe in approaching cancer clinical care as how it would be in the US, and we are able to explain what is the rationale for your care.
Let us have the chance to make this right for you. Let us have clinical practice following US standards. So please work with us and let us know if you receive any advice or feedback to seek care with other cancer doctors in town. While are not opposed to second opinions, malicious attempts to get you to see other practitioners will be addressed with greater transparency and improved communication about your plan of care with us.
We will gladly review with you the care you have been receiving to clarify any questions that you may have.
